Social Dialogue matters

The Tripartite Consultation Board

Established in 2004, the Tripartite Consultation Board (Üçlü Danisma Kurulu) aims to construct forums for social dialogue between government, employers’ and employees’ representatives.

The TCB is composed as follows:

  • Government representatives
  • Labour representatives (one of each of the 6 main private and public employees’ confederations).
  • Employers representatives: three

The board is generally seen as a forum for the creation of genuine social dialogue in Turkey. It’s composition is balanced, it has regular meetings (every three months) and the limited size of the board enables easier decision-making.
