Foxconn in Turkey

Foxconn, the large computer parts producing firm, opened some factories in Turkey, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia in their strategy to move closer to their end markets. The factory in Turkey is located in the Corlu Free Trade Zone in Thracie and employs about 350 employees.

Nuran Gülenç, Devi Sacchetto and Rutvica Andrijasevic wrote an interesting article about the working conditions in the factory and the role of the labour unions on the Open Democracy website titled: The fox at Europe’s door: Foxconn in Turkey
